The intriguing introductory track (Irregular Use) of Code 701’s new EP sets a mellow, calm, yet cryptic tone from the beginning of the EP. This is followed by Mistral, a track that adds a greater sense of urgency to the EP with its inclusion of discernibly acute scares and pulsating basslines. The third and arguably hardest hitting track of the EP (Touch the Universe) is in some ways an amalgamation of the two previous tracks, further heightening the cryptic aura of the opening track with sporadic extraterrestrial overtones in combination with a throbbing bassline. Whilst Fallout Shelter concludes the EP on a distinguishably more atmospheric and melodic note.
